Congratulations on your new tattoo! Now that your artist has wrapped your tattoo in the Dermshield Bandage, the hard part is all over with. The bandage should stay on for 5-7 days if it stays sealed. An ink bubble of plasma that builds up inside the bandage is TOTALLY NORMAL. After 5-7 days, take the bandage off and clean the tattoo with liquid antibacterial soap and cool water. pat it dry and apply a very small amount of basic fragrance free hand lotion. The tattoo will lightly flake over the next 2 days and will then be fully healed.
If at any point, the tattoo becomes comprised because the bandage is peeling up or leaking, Reach out to your artist, call the studio OR remove the bandage and follow the Traditional Aftercare Instructions below.
Congratulations on your new tattoo! If you did not receive a Derm Shield bandage, IT'S OK! Sometimes a bandage is not offered because of potential allergic risk or the specific location of the tattoo on the body. in this case, You'll first wash your hands and remove the temporary bandage that was applied after about an hour. Wash the tattoo with liquid gold antibacterial soap and cool water. pat it dry with a fresh paper towel (DO NOT use a bath towel or rag, even if fresh out of the dryer, it can still carry bacteria). you can then apply a very small amount of hustle butter or a small amount of basic fragrance free hand lotion. Rub the lotion in completely while wiping away any excess that's on the surface of the skin.
DO NOT use any ointment with a petroleum base such as A&D, Aquaphor or Neosporin!
If you ever have any questions, please call 321-444-0909 or reach out to your artist directly.
Failure to follow these directions will prevent any guarantee of the work through and after the healing process.
